The Department of For-Hire Vehicles wants to remind you that starting September 1, 2017, the Modern Taximeter System (MTS) may no longer be used. All DC taxicabs must use a digital meter that will run either on a driver's own phone or on a device from an approved Digital Taxicab Solution (DTS) provider.
